Workshop #1 Prevention Based Classroom Discipline Strategies Workshop

In this outstanding seminar participants will be introduced to specific classroom discipline approaches that provide practical, easy to use and time-tested strategies that foster exceptional levels of discipline.  Participants will learn strategies that will prevent discipline problems from developing.  Participants will also learn approaches that will help them to establish, fine tune, or if necessary, revamp their discipline systems.  Major classroom discipline concepts will be introduced including: discipline prevention approaches, how to develop positive student relations with all students, use of positive expectations, use of the power of pride, powerful student monitoring strategies, how to establish and maintain clearly defined parameters of acceptable student behavior, how to establish and utilize an effective system of consequences, and bully prevention strategies.

Workshop # 2:  Working with Our Most Challenging and Disruptive Students

In this outstanding new seminar, participants will be introduced to specific classroom discipline approaches that provide practical, easy to use and time-tested strategies that foster exceptional levels of discipline by all students.  Participants will learn how to prevent discipline problems from developing, even with the most difficult students.  Specific, powerful, and meaningful strategies for dealing with discipline issues that do arise will be discussed and demonstrated.  Not only with participants learn how to deal with the twenty to thirty percent of their students who cause the majority of classroom behavior issues, but also how to deal with students who display extreme behavior concerns such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, and Conduct Disorder.  The workshop will also review powerful strategies for dealing with bullying, power struggles, and student defiance and how to de-escalate student anger.

Workshop #3:  Powerful Building-wide Discipline Systems

In this outstanding seminar, Mark Boynton will conduct discussions and use video tapes that help participants learn specific strategies which insure the formation of a structured and orderly environment that permeates the entire building (i.e. bus zone, office, halls, lunch room, fields, etc.).  Participants will learn that the establishment of an effective building-wide discipline system requires the staff's support, understanding and commitment to four essential philosophical student management beliefs.  Participants will also learn that the same strategies that promote effective classroom discipline must also be applied outside of the classroom.

 
       Workshop #4: Bullying Workshop for Parents
In this two hour workshop, Mark Boynton covers information about bully prevention and intervention strategies for parents. Parents learn signs to watch for, how to help their child who has been bullied, and how to work with the school to help deal with the problem of bullying.
 
Service #4 Onsite Building-wide Discipline Assessment and Evaluation

Mark Boynton and his wife, Chris, are available to make an onsite school visitation for an entire day. While doing so they will conduct a thorough assessment of the school’s discipline system and climate.  After conducting the assessment they will schedule a follow-up meeting with the entire staff to review their findings and make recommendations to improve the building's overall discipline system.
